Ooops

So like a week ago I said I was going to update and then a week, a very busy week at that, went by and here I am again on a summer night trying to squeeze in some time for the blog. I have a feeling once summer is over, yuck don't want to think about that, and more time inside will lead to more time for blogging. We have been very, very, very busy enjoying Kyle's vacation month that sadly ended yesterday. Kyle took the comlex boards test in Nashville and Aubrey and I headed up to my sister's house to visit with her and the kids since we hadn't seen them in such a long time. It was great to see Aubrey play with Noah and Josalyn and it was so good to see my sister after such a long time

.We also took a last minute trip with my family to the Lake of the Ozarks the most wonderful place in the world, even though the lake is mostly beer and urine it still is a great place to be, haha.  We have been going there since I was little so for me to be able to take Aubrey was great.  She was a little swimming machine too, I'm so impressed with how much she loves the water and how comfortable she is.  Maybe my lifeguard skills rubbed off on her.

Then Kyle packed up 2 weeks later and headed to Philly with Chuck and Michael.  Oh what a trip that must have been.  He said there were plenty of stories but most of them were just silly Chuck, Michael, Kyle stories that only those 3 find hilarious.  He did great and now we're just patiently waiting for his scores.

When Kyle got back I had a whole 3 day vacation planned for just us three to go to Gatlinburg and just have some family time before he started back with a rotation in ER (which has already had one midnight shift, not so much fun).  We had an awesome time.  We went to an indoor waterpark.  We had a hotel right by downtown so we were able to walk to dinner the first night we were there.  The next night we had a fancy dinner of pizza in bed and I fell asleep before Aubrey did, ooops.  We were all so tired but so glad we got some time for just us and it was a blast.

Playing at an indoor waterpark in Gatlinburg, Aubrey had a blast.  She even went down a waterslide all by herself.  Kyle would put her down and I would catch her at the bottom, she loved it.

Aubrey getting a ride up to Clingman's dome the highest point in Tennessee.
She kept wanting down to walk but it would have taken us a week to get up there if she walked, it was really steep.
Kyle needed a break, so I got a turn carrying the 25 lber toddler.

Doesn't look to happy, I think she's looking at some guy behind the lady taking our picture.
 Looking out over Tennessee.
Playing in puddles outside of the Apple Barn, the best restaurant in Gatlinburg, we go every time we're there.
Our fancy pizza on the bed dinner.  Aubrey is cheersing her pizza with Kyle's pizza.  Aunt Kimmy taught her how to cheers cups and now she tries to cheers everything.

Some new things Aubrey is doing:
-Wanting to read allllll the time.  She brings a book up to you and then turns around to sit on your lap, it's precious.  As a former first grade teacher I'm so glad she loves books.
-She is saying bcchhrrr however to spell that, it's a gun/bomb sound and she does it all the time.  When we're reading books, when she falls down (usually on purpose), when we sit down in church (oh yes, very loudly she did a bomb sound in church).  I blame her cousin Caden for this new development but really it's probably mine or Kyle's fault.
-The first thing in the morning Aubrey says is Bailey and then immediately starts to look for her.  Not Momma or Dada but Bailey, she loves her dog.
-She likes to put glasses on and LOOOVES necklaces and plays with them putting them on and off.
-Kyle has taught her how to spin and that it makes you dizzy so now she likes to spin herself and then try to walk and laugh about it.
-She gives belly blows now too thanks to Kyle's belly blowing tutorials.
-She is starting school tomorrow!!!  Well music class at our church, I'm excited to see how she likes it.
-She's a full blown toddler now and we're loving every day and every day is something new and usually exhausting so therefore that's where the lack of blogging has come from.  I hope the next update and pictures aren't this far apart next time.

I taught my niece how to Cheers too! (My sister thought it was funny. Her husband HATED it.) hahahah We Aunts have such a wonderful time teaching our nieces and nephews annoying things that parents hate. hahaha. But I love that she was cheers-ing the pizza! Adorable!

What? When did she become a toddler?!!! She looks so big and so grown in the pictures. Your lack of blogging has left me terribly behind! I'm thrilled that you are having a wonderful summer. Please give her a hug and kiss from me and tell her to stop growing so fast!
