Oh No, Possibly More Teeth

Aubrey has been waking up with hurt cries the past week and I'm really wondering if she's cutting some more teeth.  Is it sad that 1.) I don't want my baby to grow up, for some reason if she has teeth she'll seem more like a kid than my little baby and 2.) I'm already scared of a huge orthondontist bill.  I mean come on, if the kid has teeth the chance of them coming in perfectly straight are pretty crappy so I'm thinking we'll have to shell out the money later to straighten those.  Oh geez, and if she breaks her front teeth (like I did in junior high when I fell from a cheerleading pyramid.)  I can't handle this, so please teeth, wait another month or 2.  If you saw the time stamp, yes I'm up at midnight yet again but not from worrying about Aubrey's teeth but from watching Kyle play some game on our new Wii Grandma TT brought down for us.  He's fighting some guys with light sabers or something.  It's like Christmas all over again for him.

New Year, New Blog

The writing and pictures are staying the same, the blog design however is much different.  I have been cleaning my house for my mother in law to come into town, don't you love a deep cleaning of the house.  Well while I was doing this I figured I would clean up my blog a bit too.  Simplify things.  I liked our header but again it's not just Kyle and I anymore.  So no need for wedding pictures, instead a cute picture of Aubrey's little toes is much better. What do you think?

So Aubrey kind of likes playing with boxes.  Her favorite toy and our crawling incentive is the remote control, she loooves  it and hate to say it has learned how to throw a fit when it is taken away.

Feels Like I'm Back in College

Up late and I can't stop working, that feels familiar.  So I'm the kind of person that once I start something, I can't stop until I'm finished.  I started working on a wedding album through shutterfly today at 7:00 and now it is a little after midnight and I am pretty much finished.  We have a gift card from getting Aubrey's pictures taken with Santa, so I've procrastinated long enough on doing a wedding album.  Other than the few pictures in frames I have yet to print out pictures from our wedding.  IF you get married and just order a CD from your photographer, MAKE AN ALBUM ASAP, I repeat make an album before you get out of the ooo, I'm a newlywed this is fun phase.  I had other things on my plate right after our wedding, oh ya know...moving over 400 miles away and trying to find a job.  So now 2 and 1/2 years later I am proud to say I am making a wedding album, and I can not wait to have it sit out on our coffee table!!!  This is a pretty thorough rough draft of what I've been working on all night long.  I still have some pictures to add to the Kyle getting ready part with his boys and his mom but other than that, I didn't stop until I was done!  So I wanted to share my late night project with you all, here it is...ta-da.

Daddy Makes Me Laugh

Kyle is always the one that can get Aubrey to laugh. I'm not so good with the laughing part, the comforting part I'm a pro but she doesn't seem to think I'm that funny. Hmmm, surprise, surprise somebody doesn't think I'm funny....shocking!! I love her little laugh, I will always remember the high pitch screams she does. This is her way of saying, Daddy...I love you!

No Words Really Needed

Ok, so I changed my mind...words are totally needed. After I did this post, I realized what I should have done is if you're reading this blog and you can think of a funny caption for this picture...please leave a comment. Because seriously I was thinking of a ton of different funny captions for this.

Slowly give me back the doll and nobody gets hurt.

So if you have something funny to say, please leave a comment.

See what I'm saying, so I think we have a Tom Boy on our hands. Aubrey traded Caden his gun for her doll. I love her face in this picture.

Gatlinburg Weekend

We went to Gatlinburg last weekend with Colleen & Nigel or Jack (in utero), Alarie and Aidan, and Becky and Janie. Colleen's sister let her use her vacation points and we stayed at a very nice resort. We had fun just hanging out and talking since we haven't seen Becky in a while it was great to catch up. The babies had fun too. Here's a picture of them enthralled by Baby Einstein while we were trying to put their pack n plays up. We went swimming and Aubrey loves swimming and it wore her out. I'm trying to find out if there is a swim time at the Tenn. Tech or the YMCA because she slept great the night she swam. We also did a little shopping at the outlets and I was buying 2 T stuff for next year!!! CRAZY!! I can't believe she's going to be that big. I figure if she's wearing 12 month stuff at 6 months then she'll probably be in 24 month stuff by next winter. We had a great time and were sad when it was over but Aubrey and I missed her dad so we had to go back. I called on Sunday and said we've just decided to move there. Something about the mountains, wow never thought I would say that! But they are truly amazing.
I love these girls! Oh and 1 sleepy boy :)

We have a.....CRAWLER!!

So this week something exciting happened, Aubrey went from rolling all over the place to crawling. 2 days before her 7 month birthday she just up and started crawling. Not like on hands and knees yet but army crawl and definitely get to where she wants to go. I blame Aidan for this new development. Aubrey picks up things he does it seems a couple weeks after watching him. Please Aidan and Aubrey STOP GROWING!! haha. I sound very excited in this video...not. I am excited to see her do new things but I just can't believe 7 months have already flown by, where does the time go? So here is our crawling baby, going after our video camera while I'm taking video on our regular camera.

Snow and Overalls

We had a bunch of snow last week and we were literally snowed in for 6 days. Kyle got a few days off work and therefore this happened.
Yep we definitely live in Tennessee.

Aubrey takes after her dad and when we were feeding her last week she got some food on her bib, so she did the sensible thing and lifted up her bib and tried eating the food of her bib. Kyle is messy when it comes to eating chips and salsa and when he drops salsa on him he just takes a chip and eats it off himself, no sense in wasting it right. Anyway, toootalllly his daughter!! She had us cracking up. We tried putting some carrots on her highchair the other day and let her play with them and she did wind up eating a little bit but mostly she just made a mess and looked like this.

After she made a mess she went straight into the bath tub where Kyle messed with her hair to look like this.

We had a fun time with Kyle during his days off and now he's back to work. He's doing family medicine this month and is liking it so far. He doesn't like it as much as he liked surgery. Next month he's going to be doing a radiology rotation and we'll see how that one goes. So now we have more snow again and I bet we'll be snowed in for a few days. Yay, for snow days with my little girl.

Over 300 pictures later...

Sorry I had the video listed private so it wouldn't play, I think I fixed it now. Let's see if this works.

So I FINALLY got all of my pictures just from Christmas put together on a movie slideshow. It's pretty long so sorry, but I'm glad we have all of these pictures of Aubrey's first Christmas for her to always have (that is granted youtube lives on forever). Once I got to my mom's house I stopped using my camera and just copied all the pictures from her camera. I love that my mom is a big picture taker, so we got some tons and tons of pictures. So here it is, Aubrey's Christmas slideshow. Now that this is done, regular blogging should commence.

Blogging Break...Over

Wow has December been busy! Kyle had his vacation this month so we were a little busy, well that's an understatment. We did 3 1/2 weeks away from our house visiting Kyle's family in Texas and then headed to Illinois to spend time with my fam. We had a great time and was sad when it was over but we are thankful for all the time we were able to spend. We are finally back in our routine here in Tennessee and won't be long until we pack up again for Kyle's rotation in Oklahoma. I am working on getting all of our Christmas pictures online but until then here's at least a cute video of Aubrey doing her new favorite thing, singing and saying Ba,Ba, Ba. She got a piano with a microphone from Santa and she already loves singing.

Aubrey has had A LOT of things happening since we've been gone. She did her first 10 hr. driving trip and did great sleeping most of the time. She got her first tooth and then a week later got her second! She said what I consider to be her first word-ho, ho, ho (she would mimmick us when we said ho ho ho talking about Santa). She also says hi and waves. She now says ba, ba, ba too as you can hear in this video. She's eating a lot more solids- carrots, bananas, pears, baby yogurt, squash and she had her first pasta the other day cooked by Colleen. She had her first B-town girls play date. She went to her first professional hockey game. She threw her first fit when she had a toy taken away from her. She is rolling all over the place and can usually get to where she wants to go. She is changing so much and seems like a little person now. She reaches out for people she wants and holds onto people if she doesn't want to go somewhere. I can't believe how much she has changed in just a few weeks. We will never go this long again without blogging because I feel I have missed a whole month of things going on. At the same time it was a very much needed break from the computer to just spend time with Kyle and with family. A break from e-mail, facebook, blogging, and just spending time on the internet has been good. I will do a de-tox every once in a while but not again this long from the blog. Glad we're back and I'll get our pictures on soon.
