Slideshow

I have my wonderful friend Alarie to thank for sparking my memory of a video Kyle and I made for our wedding reception. I looked and finally found it on my computer and I want to put it on here so I can have it for Aubrey. Aubrey these are pictures of your mommy and daddy when we were younger and all of our family and friends that made special memories in our lives. I loved looking back at pictures from when we were kids and from when we first started dating. This will definitely be a video that we look at every once in a while to remind us how we got to this moment in our life.

Happy Halloween

We had a great time today at a Trunk or Treat that the church we've been going to put on. We did a trunk with the Ornburns and Colleen. This was a stinkin adorable picture I've been meaning to put up for a while with a cute shirt from my Aunt Sissy.

We had a fun time trying to get Aubrey's hair to stick up and for a bow to stay in her hair. Some felt and hair gel later it stuck for most of the night. She got this ridiculous cute diaper cover for my baby shower and I thought hmmmm, Pebbles?? So we went as the Flinstones. Kyle said I couldn't take any pictures and he's going to kill me for putting this on here but this is like Aubrey's baby book so Aubrey, this is how much your dad loves you. He wore a shirt that matched your cute costume. I was Wilma of course. I had to try and make Wilma church appropriate, which is very hard when it gets close to Aubrey's feeding time. Excuse the umm, ladies.
The Ornburns as Carlos and Allen and Glenda the good witch. The girls!! I got extremely giddy when they said ok we need a girls picture and I almost gave Aubrey to Kyle and then I realized, WAIT she's a girl :) Colleen is the wicked witch if you can't tell.Daddy loves his little girl. Could they not look any more alike??? So all in all, Aubrey had a great first Halloween.

B-town Babies

I got the chance to go see my good friend Lauran's little boy, Braden, who was just born a couple weeks ago. He is the most precious thing, Congratulations Lauran and Brad. I also got to see my other friend Jessica and her adorable little girl, Claire. These are the reasons along with family why I miss living back in St. Louis. It was so great just to hang out and talk momma talk with these awesome girls.
I forgot how tiny brand new babies were. I know it was only 4 months ago that I had this, it just is crazy to think Aubrey has already grown soooo much. She had a fun time playing on the floor and now she can have two boys fighting over her, Aidan and Braden!
We also went to Geggie to meet my teacher friends Katie and Megan. I miss these girls sooo much and can't wait until we live a little closer so we can have more of these get togethers. I also can't wait for the upcoming weddig of Katie on New Year's Eve. I've been planning Aubrey's outfit pretty much before she was even born for her first wedding :) Love ya girls!

Happy Halloween

Mmmmmm Food

We started SOLIDS last Wednesday after her 4 month check up. She's a big girl, she weighed 16.9 lbs and was 24 inches long in the 99% for heigth. She cried like crazy after the shots again, but didn't cry when it was time to take off the band aid, so we're making progress.
She loves to grab the spoon and has already tried feeding herself. This little one is going to be independent.
She likes the rice cereal, but we tried green beans tonight and she wasn't a big fan. I don't know if it was the texture or the taste. I don't really like anything green, so maybe she takes after me and isn't going to be a huge veggie person. I hope she has Kyle's taste buds and will eat just about anything. One thing we've learned from the feeding process is it's MESSY!!! She's pretty cute though making that mess.
Hmmm, not so bad...

Wait, take that back....this is disgusting!!Yuck, get it out, GET IT OUT!Here's our reenactment of Aubrey eating rice cereal, my camera ran out of battery the first night so we had to pretend the second night.

Baby Laughs A Lot

Aubrey knows how to laugh and that's an understatement. I have three different videos of her laughing and they are all tooooo cute, so I couldn't decide which one to upload so I just uploaded them all. Seriously any one you click on is just as cute as the others. This first one Kyle was not happy about because Aubrey was in just a diaper and Aidan was in her room. At the end you can hear me saying, oh nothing. I was saying it to Kyle because he asked what I was doing, ooops I was caught.

The other two are of my nephew and of Kyle's cousin jumping up and trying to scare her. They are both 4 years old and I kept telling my mom all I need is a 4 year old to entertain Aubrey, because she was very intrigued by their energy and loud noises. We've found that Aubrey likes to be scared and then she laughs, some babies cry but nope she thinks jumping and scaring her is the funniest thing ever. So here they are.

Dive into Reading

Literally dive into reading, Aubrey loves playing with one of her books my mom got her that makes the crinkly noise. She was even putting it on her face to help her fall asleep. Anything by the face and the girl gets sleepy eyes. It's pretty cute.
I love how only her eye is showing in this one.
I can't wait to teach her how to read. I definitely miss that about teaching 1st grade. There's nothing better than teaching a child how to read, granted it can get frustrating and takes loads and loads of patience. It's definitely worth the reward.

Check out my new skirt

So I made a skirt with this new website I found Ruffles and Stuff, she's got a bunch of great and easy tutorials for women and for babies. I told you I was getting back into sewing and being all crafty. The only problem is I kinda screwed up the gathering in the back and it doesn't look fabulous in the back. Problem solved....wear a really long cardigan over it, haha. I love the fabric and I plan on making Aubrey a onesie dress with it. I know I said I'm not a dork with matching outfits, but ok maybe just one. I already made a bow out of this material for Aubrey and it's super cute. I like my baby in black, I know most people put their little girl in pink, pink, pink, but something about black is just really cute. I love her black headband and her black silk flower clip I got for her. She's got adorable black pants and I love her black patten (how do you spell that one) shoes. I even got the shoes in 0-3, 3-6, and 6-9 when I found them on sale. I have been on the look out for a black cardigan to go over her Christmas dress. I know, I know already Christmas....but I've had this dress since last January before I even knew she was a girl (couldn't pass up a good deal). But oddly enough I can't find black cardigans for babies. Maybe people don't think babies should look that sophisticated, they should just look "cute". Well Aubrey Lynne you're going to look sophisticated if that means I have to die a white cardigan black, haha.

P.S.- I don't think we're that sophisticated if I have to really think if I spelled that right. Too bad blogger doesn't have spellcheck.
